Simon Jones

Simon Jones is a Manchester based artist/filmmaker.

He started making short films in 2004 and in 2005 won the Vauxhall VX Auteur film making competition.

Simon’s short fictional films are created single handed which include writing the story line, photography, editing, writing and performing the soundtrack, production and direction.

Simon’s films usually involve the use of puppets as the main characters, which in the making requires the camera in one hand whilst puppeteering with the other.

Simon studied at Manchester Metropolitan University where he gained a first class BA in photography and imaging and an MA in fine art.
